More funds raised for St Barnabas Hospice Trust (Lincolnshire)
On Sunday, 11th September Adam completed his 18th Great North Run, this time running alongside fellow Lincoln business owner, Chris Owen from Optimum Safety.
One of an estimated 60,000 runners to take on the Great North Run route from Newcastle to South Shields, Adam and Chris ran a time of 2 hours, which considering Chris tore his calf muscle after 2 miles was pretty good going! The conditions were warm, on the day which began with a moment of silence in tribute to the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II.
Raising vital funds for St Barnabas Hospice along the way, Adam commented “It was another enjoyable race this year, almost perfect weather and apart from Chris’ injury everything else seemed to go well. I’m pleased with our time and once again, I am delighted to have raised money for St Barnabas. So far, I’ve raised £800 which is an amazing amount of money going to such an important and worthwhile cause”.
