With the magic of the FA Cup, they say “anything can happen” – and it certainly did for lifelong Imps fan, Adam Davey, and his fellow company director – the lifelong Don, Mark Dyer.
Two football teams, two Directors, one HR company and a magical FA Cup weekend…the two Directors of Petaurum Solutions knew that when their respective clubs were drawn to face each other, there was only one possible outcome – match sponsorship!
With offices in Lincoln, East Anglia and London, the prospect of sponsoring a football match upon which both Directors agreed would benefit both of their local communities, whilst offering a strategic fit for the business AND showing the ultimate support for their beloved teams must have seemed nothing but a pipe dream.
Director and lifelong Imp, Adam Davey said:
“We were sat hundreds of miles apart watching the FA Cup draw with our respective families, wondering whether Lincoln could have another giant-killing season like the last – and then THAT happened.”
Fellow Director and lifelong Don, Mark Dyer exclaimed:
“As soon as I saw the draw, I just had to pick up the phone to Adam and within minutes – well probably seconds – we’d decided that we simply MUST sponsor the match.”
Business – like football – is unpredictable, and Adam and Mark will leave the football to the professionals and concentrate on providing outstanding HR support!
With the passion, romance, and unpredictability of the Cup, there’s no doubt that they’ll be celebrating the success of their clubs and business whatever the outcome on Saturday. Whether it’s the former Crazy Gang Cup winners, or the first non-league team to reach the Quarter Finals in 103 years … may the best team win.
