This September, Adam will be lacing up his trainers once again for the Great North Run: his 21st time taking part in this iconic half marathon. Over the years, it’s become much more than just a race – it’s a chance to support a cause incredibly close to his heart: St Barnabas Hospice.
Every year, St Barnabas provides compassionate, expert care to people living with life-limiting or terminal illness, as well as vital support to their families and loved ones. Their reach spans the whole of Lincolnshire, and they continue to make a huge difference in communities across the county – not just in hospice buildings, but in people’s homes, care homes, and hospitals.
Adam says: “It’s that dedication, and the comfort they bring to so many at such a difficult time, that keeps me coming back to the start line year after year.”
“Over the last two decades, I’ve run in sunshine and rain, battled headwinds and enjoyed tailwinds, all in support of this brilliant charity. The Great North Run itself is always an incredible day – with crowds cheering every step of the way and runners united in support of causes that matter deeply to them.”
If you’d like to support his 2025 run and help St Barnabas continue their amazing work, you can do so via his JustGiving page:

Every donation, regardless of its size, genuinely makes a difference. And if you’re not in a position to give right now, simply sharing the page or spreading the word about St Barnabas is equally appreciated.
Thank you for reading and for supporting a cause that means so much to Adam and so many families across Lincolnshire.
